CollabConnect ("we," "us," or "our") is a collaboration platform that connects content creators with brands for sponsored collaborations, campaigns, and creative partnerships. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our platform.
By accessing or using CollabConnect, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated through your use of the platform.
Account Information
- Full name, email address, and password when you register
- User type (creator or brand)
- Phone number (optional)
- Profile photo and bio
- Social media handles and follower counts (creator accounts)
- Company name, website, and industry (brand accounts)
Activity Data
- Campaigns you create, apply for, or interact with
- Messages and communications with other users
- Deliverables submitted or reviewed
- Login timestamps and IP addresses
Device & Technical Data
- Device type, operating system, and app version
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve the CollabConnect platform
- Verify your identity and profile authenticity
- Facilitate connections between creators and brands
- Manage campaign applications, deliverables, and collaboration workflows
- Send transactional notifications (campaign updates, application status)
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations (including the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012)
- Respond to your support requests
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Lawful Basis for Processing
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173), we process your personal information on the basis of: your consent; the performance of our contract with you (operating your account and the platform); compliance with legal obligations; and our legitimate interests in keeping the platform safe. You may withdraw your consent at any time, though some features may then be unavailable.
4. Information Sharing
We share information only as described below:
With Other Users
- Your public profile (name, bio, social stats) is visible to other users on the platform
- Campaign applications include your profile information visible to the brand
- Brands and creators can message each other through our in-app messaging system
With Service Providers
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- YouTube Data API — to fetch your public channel statistics when you link a YouTube channel
- AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) — only if AI-assisted features are enabled, the text you submit to those features is processed by the provider; these features are disabled by default
For Legal Compliance
- We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or government authority
- We may share information to protect the rights, property, or safety of CollabConnect, our users, or the public
Business Transfers
- If CollabConnect is involved in a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS
- Sensitive data is stored encrypted at rest
- Access to personal data is restricted to authorised staff on a need-to-know basis
- We conduct regular security reviews of our systems
In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to put your rights and freedoms at risk, we will notify the National Privacy Commission and affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, as required by the Philippine Data Privacy Act.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) and applicable laws, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
- Object — object to processing of your data for certain purposes
- Withdraw Consent — where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time
Account & Data Deletion
- You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time directly in the app: open your Profile, then choose "Delete Account."
- You may also request deletion via the web at https://collabconnect.net/delete-account.html or by emailing privacy@collabconnect.net.
- Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data, except information we are required to retain for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes (see Data Retention below). Deletion is permanent and is not a temporary deactivation.

7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Specifically:
- Account data — retained while your account is active; permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Campaign and collaboration records — retained for 7 years as required by Philippine law
- Communications — retained for 2 years after last activity
When you delete your account, we delete the personal data associated with it, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (such as for fraud prevention, security, or regulatory compliance). This is a permanent deletion, not a temporary deactivation.
8. Children's Privacy
CollabConnect is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has registered on our platform, please contact us immediately at privacy@collabconnect.net and we will delete the account promptly.
9. International Data Transfers
CollabConnect is based in the Philippines. If you access our platform from outside the Philippines, your information may be transferred to and processed in the Philippines or other countries where our service providers operate. By using CollabConnect, you consent to this transfer.
We ensure that international transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that adequate safeguards are in place.
10. Third-Party Links
Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you use through CollabConnect.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Sending an email to your registered address
- Displaying a notice within the CollabConnect app
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
Continued use of CollabConnect after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
