1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using CollabConnect, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines we may publish. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use CollabConnect. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into contracts
- You are not prohibited from using our services under applicable law
- Your account information is accurate and complete
CollabConnect reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be operated by minors.
3. Account Registration & Security
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Not create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. CollabConnect is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
4. Creator Terms
As a creator on CollabConnect, you agree to:
Deliverable Obligations
- Complete agreed deliverables according to campaign requirements and deadlines
- Submit original content that you own or have the right to use
- Disclose your partnership with brands as required by applicable advertising regulations (e.g., #ad, #sponsored)
- Not misrepresent your follower counts, engagement rates, or metrics
Content Standards
- All content must comply with our Community Guidelines and applicable law
- You must not post or submit content that is defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, or infringes any third-party rights
- You grant CollabConnect a non-exclusive license to display your profile information and submitted deliverables for platform operation purposes
Prohibited Conduct
- Do not apply for campaigns you have no genuine intention of completing
- Do not engage in coordinated inauthentic behavior or purchase fake followers
5. Brand Terms
As a brand on CollabConnect, you agree to:
Campaign Obligations
- Provide accurate and complete campaign briefs, including requirements, budget, and deadlines
- Review and respond to creator applications within a reasonable timeframe
- Honor agreed compensation for deliverables that meet the campaign requirements
- Not use the platform to solicit deliverables with no genuine intention of compensating creators
Creator Relationships
- Treat creators with respect and professionalism
- Not request deliverables that violate laws or CollabConnect policies
- Not pressure creators to produce content that misrepresents your products or services
- Provide clear, constructive feedback for revision requests
6. Compensation & Payments
CollabConnect is a collaboration platform. Payments between brands and creators are arranged directly between the parties outside of CollabConnect.
CollabConnect's Role
- CollabConnect facilitates introductions, campaign management, communication, and deliverable tracking
- We do not hold, process, or transfer funds between users
- We are not a party to any financial arrangement between brands and creators
Your Responsibilities
- Brands and creators are solely responsible for agreeing on, and fulfilling, their own compensation arrangements
- CollabConnect is not liable for any failure to pay or disputes arising from compensation arrangements between users
- Any agreed payment terms should be documented and communicated through the campaign brief or messaging system
7. Intellectual Property
Creator Content
You retain ownership of the content you create for campaigns. By submitting deliverables, you grant the brand a license as specified in the campaign brief (typically for use on social media or marketing materials for the agreed period).
CollabConnect Content
All content on the CollabConnect platform — including our logo, interface design, copy, and software — is owned by CollabConnect and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
Feedback
If you provide suggestions or feedback about our platform, you grant us the right to use that feedback without compensation.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use the platform to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited messages
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from CollabConnect
- Manipulate reviews, ratings, or application counts
- Use the platform to facilitate illegal activity of any kind
- Engage in any conduct that harasses, harms, or discriminates against other users
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or decompile any part of our software
9. Dispute Resolution
Between Users
If a dispute arises between a creator and a brand, we encourage parties to resolve it amicably through our messaging system. If unresolved, either party may escalate to CollabConnect support.
CollabConnect may, at our discretion, help mediate disputes regarding deliverable quality or campaign completion. Because compensation is arranged directly between brands and creators outside the platform (see Section 6), CollabConnect does not handle, release, or adjudicate payments, and any payment dispute must be resolved between the parties themselves.
With CollabConnect
Any legal dispute between you and CollabConnect shall be governed by the laws of the Philippines. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Makati City, Philippines.
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@collabconnect.net.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
CollabConnect is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Any defects will be corrected
- Results from using the platform will meet your expectations
CollabConnect is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or legality of campaign content created by users.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CollabConnect shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Damages arising from your use or inability to use the platform
- Conduct of other users on the platform
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of CollabConnect shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Account Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@collabconnect.net.
CollabConnect may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:
- You violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines
- We are required to do so by law
- You engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
- Your account is inactive for more than 24 months
CollabConnect is not liable for any losses arising from account termination for cause.
